SUMMARY:Literature Appreciation I - Poetry from Wales
DESCRIPTION:Tutor:  Hugh Parry \nA weekend sampling poetry by Welsh writers from medieval to modern times. Dafydd ap Gwilym (in translation) to Gillian Clarke\, with a doctor or two\, a clergyman or two (yes\, a Thomas or two\, of course!). There may even be a Jones or two. Come and meet the ‘Celtic fringe’ – they are not all wild and woolly (though some are)\, and they speak your language – with great brio. \nHugh Parry has offered adult education classes in literature for over 30 years. Although loyal all his life to Shakespeare\, he has over the years given courses on a diverse range of topics\, including detective fiction\, utopias\, ghost stories\, Cowper\, Swift and R S Thomas.
