DESCRIPTION:Leader: Revd Canon Dr Flora Winfield \nA two-night retreat\, with a full day led by Flora Winfield. \n‘Burned by my vision of a world that shone’. The line comes from Clive James’ poem\, ‘Japanese Maple’ in Sentenced to Life. \nAmong the first women to be ordained in the Church of England\, Flora Winfield has worked in parish ministry\, university and military chaplaincy\, ecumenical relations\, international conflict transformation and humanitarian diplomacy. \nSince 2007\, Flora has been a member of the personal staff of the Archbishop of Canterbury\, serving from 2014 – 2017 as the Anglican Communion Permanent Representative to the United Nations.  At present she is the Archbishop of Canterbury’s Special representative to the Commonwealth. \nFlora will lead our day together on Monday 12th October. This retreat replaces the Open Quiet Day\, which due to restrictions on numbers\, can no longer go ahead.  The maximum number of participants will be 7\, and bookings are on a first-come-first served basis.
