SUMMARY:Advent Retreat
DESCRIPTION:Leader: Canon Adrian Botwright \n Darkness\, Doubt and Discovery – a 3D journey in Advent? Advent is often seen as a time of waiting patiently in the darkness\, a time of preparation\, so that we are ready to welcome and embrace the coming of Christ in the lights of Christmas. This retreat however will focus more on what Darkness itself may have to say to us about the reality of God\, its (necessary) uncertainties\, and the many valuable insights and experiences Darkness can offer us. \nCanon Adrian Botwright was Rector of Holy Trinity Skipton for almost 20 years. He now lives in Thirsk and focuses on leading retreats\, quiet days\, offering spiritual direction and serving as Chaplain in various places\, including four weeks each year on Bardsey Island.  He enjoys hugely music\, poetry\, walking\, trains\, a campervan\, and scuba diving.
