SUMMARY:The Spiritual Journey in a Material World
DESCRIPTION:  \nTHIS EVENT HAS BEEN CANCELLED \n\nTutor:  Marion Duff MBACP \nThis retreat will look at how we use our passion\, and ‘fighting’ energy to merge the inner battles we all have with the outer battles we all share in\, to bring our deep\,innermost organic self into outer expression amid all the worldly temptations of our times.  We will explore life’s stages of when we ‘falter\, fake and fragment’ to when we ‘see\, sense and shape’ our self\, into what we become on reaching the winter years of our life.  We will reflect on the living experiences and explore ‘choice’\, either to deaden our responses\, or open our hearts to relate. \nMarion Duff has worked as an in-depth counsellor since the mid-80s\, supervising pastoral carers\, therapists\, and teachers alongside her private practice.  From counselling a broad spectrum of individuals\, she has come to understand the meaning of ‘we are all one’\, and would like to share this with others.

SUMMARY:Autumn Rambling in Wharfedale
DESCRIPTION:The last of our three walking breaks at Parcevall Hall in 2020. \nWharfedale offers a wealth of landscapes; wild moorland\, limestone uplands\, wooded valleys and gentle farmland\, with the uninterrupted beauty of Upper Wharfedale laid out before you form the hilltops. \nNew routes are added each year\, and we offer a choice each day of either short or longer walks with one of our guides\, returning to the welcome and warmth of Parcevall Hall.  Packed lunches are provided\, but if at any time you would rather take a stroll around the grounds\, lunch can be served for you in the dining room. \nOur chaplain\, Canon Graham Bettridge\, will be on hand to provide spiritual leadership for those who wish to participate. \nThe dates of our other walking breaks this year are 23-26 March and 14-17 June.
