Tutor:  Professor Rosemary Mitchell

Rosemary leads a spiritual study day which will introduce you to the haunting and evocative landscapes of the German Romantic artist, Caspar David Freidrich (1774 – 1840), and suggest how they might be situated in, and contribute to, the Western Christian tradition of contemplative prayer.

Rosemary Mitchell is Professor Emerita of Victorian Studies at Leeds Trinity University, where she served as Director for the Centre for Victorian Studies for seven years.  She studied 19th-century French art history as a postgraduate at the University of Oxford, where she took her doctorate.  She is currently training for ordination in the Church of England, and is a frequent speaker at courses which explore the arts, spirituality and faith.

The price includes morning coffee, lunch and afternoon tea.
