Lent Retreat Days & Residential Stays

This year there is the option to spend a day, stay overnight, or join the whole period of our Lent Retreat. The price for each option is at the bottom of this page.
DAY 1 – 5 MARCH

Theme: Witnesses to the crucifixion of Christ
Session 1 The centurion: finding the truth
Session 2 The criminal: finding forgiveness
Session 3 Joseph of Arimathea:
finding courage
DAY 2 – 6 MARCH
Leader: Revd Andrew Tawn, Director of Clergy Development
Theme: Going Deeper
Richard Foster begins his classic A Celebration of Discipline with these words: ‘Superficiality is the curse of our age. The doctrine of instant satisfaction is a primary spiritual problem.
The desperate need today is not for a greater number of intelligent people, or gifted people, but for deep people.’ This day is an
exploration of the idea of depth in the Bible and what it might mean for us to follow Jesus’ direction to ‘put out into the deep’. (Luke 5.4)
DAY 3 – 7 MARCH

DAY 4 – 8 MARCH

Today will be spent in meditation of Psalm 139, led by our Chaplain, Canon Graham Bettridge.
