Recorder Players’ Workshop 14 – 16 October led by Hilary Oliver
This residential is for recorder ensemble playing in an informal and friendly atmosphere. They are aimed at competent adult players who ideally offer at least two instruments [C and F] and are able to swap between them. The ability to hold your own part in a group and good sight-reading skills are key.

Labyrinth Retreat 21-23 November led by Karen Balmer
The labyrinth is an ancient archetypal symbol which has its origins in ritual and has provided deep psychological insights for the traveller. On this retreat, we shall explore the labyrinth in a creative interactive way, supported by Karen, who is qualified as an Advanced Facilitator by Veriditas and has worked as spiritual care lead in the NHS Mental Health.

Inwardly Digest – Reading Retreat 19-21November led by Dr Helen Reid
This is a retreat for people who love reading and talking about books, and perhaps especially those who have a pile of books they want to read but haven’t got round to yet. There will be time to read in quiet and conducive surroundings, as well as to share your thoughts and theological reflections on your reading with others. This is a retreat to experience grace through words at a perfect time of year for staying indoors and reading. Helen is Director of Parcevall Hall and an avid reader.

Waiting for Something Important – Advent Retreat 1-4 December led by Revd Jenny Savage, Chaplain to Parcevall Hall
The Advent retreat will focus on fully engaging with the waiting and anticipation of this season. Jenny will lead the group through bible study, prayer, contemplation and conversation. Relaxed and refreshed, we shall be better prepared to celebrate the great feast of Christmas when the time arrives.

Christmas Houseparty and Retreat 23-27 December
Spend a traditional Christmas in the warm and welcoming surroundings of Parcevall Hall. There will be home-cooked food, traditional games and times for reflection, all shared in good company to help us truly celebrate Christmas.
