28 – 30 June 2023 – Living the Contemplative Life: What gets in the way? Led by Jill Benet
Rooted in the practice of Centering Prayer and drawing on the work of Thomas Keating, Cynthia Bourgeault and others, as well as our own experience, Jill will help us explore how the Contemplative Life has meaning in the everydayness of our lives.
Much of the weekend will be spent in quiet with extended periods of silent prayer. It is an invitation to find inner rest within a small community for a weekend, individually, and beyond.
Jill is as teacher of Centering Prayer and has attended retreats led by Thomas Keating, Richard Rohr and Cynthia Bourgeault, amongst others. She trained in the US and UK, and is co-founder of the Silence in the City series of talks on the contemplative life.
We are grateful to Jill for giving time to us from her hectic schedule to lead this second retreat for us.
